Ceramics
The ceramics project aims to improve
and maintain fine motor skills by using hands to create shapes.
The Ceramics workshop includes
the manipulation of three-dimensional artistic objects created to exercise fine
motor skills. Thanks to its malleable characteristics, cermanic clay allows us to improve our
psycho-physical state. Clay modeling has great physical and psycho-therapeutic value; it
is easy to manipulate and allows everyone an opportunity to express themselves
freely and spontaneously.
The use of clay becomes both a
game and a rehabilitative activity through the modeling of the material. The modeling
induces a state of concentration and relaxation that is highly therapeutic for
people with intellectual disabilities. Clay responds to our stimuli, and is a
natural and versatile material that can be easily transformed with our gestures,
but requires particular attention and care because it has its own delicate
balance.
