Directions to il Chicco
By Car
From Rome City Center, head towards Via Appia Nuova (South Rome). On Grande Raccordo Anulare, take Exit 23 - Appio S. Giovanni, towards Ciampino. Going south along Via Appia, continue past the Ciampino airport and exit following signs for “Via dei Laghi.” Follow Via dei Laghi/SS 217 past Ciampino Airport and the train crossing, and roughly 1,200m after, turn left onto “Via Mura dei Francesi.” From Via Mura dei Francesi, turn onto the first street on the right, “Via Ancona.”
Arrive at L’Arche Il Chicco.
By Train
Take the train from Rome Termini Station to either Ciampino Station (going to Albano, Velletri, or Frascati) or to Acqua Acetosa Station (going to Albano only). The train journey from Termini Station takes about 15 minutes.
Be advised - while the Acqua Acetosa station is close to Il Chicco, trains are not very frequent (10 trains/day, 6 on Sunday).
Ciampino Station is located about 2km from Il Chicco. Trains to and from Termini Station are very frequent (around 70 on weekdays, 30 on Sundays). From Ciampino station, navigate until you reach Piazza della Pace, and follow via Mura dei Francesi to Via Ancona and il Chicco.
By Plane
Ciampino Airport is very close to Il Chicco. From the airport, take the bus to Ciampino Station. From Ciampino Station, navigate to Piazza della Pace, then follow Via Mura dei Francesi to Via Ancona and il Chicco.
From Fiumicino Airport, take the train to Roma Termini Station (roughly one train every 30min.). Follow remaining instructions in “By Train” section above.
